Farman F40

An advanced scratchbuild project

This model is almost all wing and so is an ideal subject for the scratchbuilt wings technique. Fuselage was push molded and split horizontaly. Tail booms are plastic coated florist's wire and the rigging ,again fuse wire, is functional. Actually high "E" guitar string was used for some rigging of the undercarriage which otherwise would not have supported the weight of the model. Markings are Belgian and depict an aircraft flown as a fighter by the Belgian air arm.
